Emile Smith Rowe grabbed a significant opportunity with an extended appearance for Arsenal in a recent Premier League match.
After spending an extended time on the sidelines, the Englishman showcased his skills during a substantial outing against Palace, receiving praise for his impressive performance.
Adrian Clarke, sharing his insights on the Handbrake Off Podcast, lauded Smith Rowe's display against the Eagles. The pundit even suggested that when compared to Kai Havertz, the Hale End graduate seemed more in form during the game.
The acclaim goes further, with Clarke proposing that Mikel Arteta should consider giving the 23-year-old more regular starting opportunities for the Gunners.
“He looked sharp didn’t he? I thought. Everything he did was good. Pity he didn’t score but he looked bright and he looked I would say marginally sharper than Havertz.
I don’t think Havertz had a poor game, everyone played well, but that cameo may have given Mikel Arteta food for thought thinking that if Emile is at that level he’s as good as Havertz and he can offer a bit more in terms of craft in the final third,” Clarke stated.
