Why Pulisic didn't want to join Chelsea this month

Christian Pulisic reportedly opted not to join Chelsea until the summer to give himself the best chance of impressing new boss Maurizio Sarri. According to ESPN, Pulisic himself was behind the decision. The forward reportedly felt he would have a better chance of making an impression on Sarri during a full pre-season rather than half a regular season. Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic has agreed to join Chelsea for £57.6m but has immediately returned to the Westfalenstadion on loan until the end of the season.
