Press conference: Mikel Arteta provides teams news update, speaks on Daniel Ek and more ahead of Europa League clash with Villarreal

  Arsenal are preparing to face Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday. The Gunners reached the semis after celebrating a 5-1 on aggregate win over Slavia Praha. Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta gave a press conference where he provided team news update and more. On team news "They are all in contention all of them including Aubameyang, including Laca, including Kieran." On Tierney "He didn't need the surgery that we were afraid of. He's been working like a beast every single day. I don't know if he's going to make it tomorrow but he certainly wants to be as close as possible." On if he's spoken to Kroenke about transfer funds "It's always been part of the discussion. What I can tell you is they want to do their best to have a really successful Arsenal on the pitch." On potential further protests "The players need the supporters fully committed behind the team and the moment we have them inside the stadium I'm sure that will be the case." On Daniel Ek "I cannot control the speculation and what is going on. What I like to know and talk about is the reality. We have owners that are really committed and want a successful team on the pitch, and will do everything they can to achieve that." On Emery "I spoke with him before I took the Arsenal job, he was really helpful, very experienced and successful manager. I think there is no doubt that he's got the tools and knowledge to manage at the top level." On the Villarreal game "Extremely excited to travel the game and play the tie tomorrow.
