Press Conference: Jurgen Klopp spoke about injured players, United and Solskjaer

Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media on Friday as he previews Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Manchester United in the Premier League. United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford aiming for only a third win in eight matches but with a good record against the top teams this season. “Alisson, Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah are looking better. How good, we will have to see. Two more sessions to come, then we have to make decisions. Nothing fixed yet,” said Klopp. United are unbeaten in their last five home league meetings with Liverpool (W3 D2), their longest run without defeat against them at Old Trafford since a run of 10 between February 1991 and March 2000. “I've never really struggled with confidence. I am not sure before a game. I am quite optimistic we have a chance. History, in this case, is not important. We like to use the atmosphere in our stadium it is incredibly helpful. Old Trafford is not too bad either. They said it - we are the perfect opponent. I don't think there are too many teams who want to play against us at the moment - it looks like Man United are the only one!” Manchester United have injury concerns and about that, Klopp said: “Yesterday no chance for De Gea and Pogba. Today it’s a maybe. Tomorrow it’s a chance.” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently on the 12th place of Premier League table and about their motivation, Klopp said: “We have to make sure if United want to change their season, they have to wait a week.” The game will take place at Old Trafford and about the intensity of the stadium, the German said: “Premier League games, all of them are really intense. I wouldn't have realised the difference until there are 500 people in the room. Whatever they do we have to be prepared for that. We are not nervous because of the winning streak and the history we could make. We are very relaxed and very ambitious as well." On Daniel James Klopp added: "He is a really good player, absolutely. But I expect Martial, Rashford and James on the pitch. The speed they have and quality all across the pitch." Liverpool are 15 points ahead of United and on the gap between teams, Klopp said: “It's a big pressure game. Thank God the times when pretty much each type of challenge was allowed in this game is over. That was really dangerous. We have to fight for each yard AND we have to play football. That's the mix we want to find.” Join Us on Telegram! Follow Us on Twitter! Like Us on Facebook!
