Sunday evening was a hard one for both Liverpool and the club supporters as Harvey Elliott was forced to be subbed off due to a serious ankle injury against Leeds United.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has provided latest update on the 18-year-old's injury situation.
The Reds' manager informed that the youngster will be having a surgery today.
"I spoke to him after the game, he was in the best possible place. He knew would out for a while. Today he is in London and will have the surgery today. That is the next step and we wait for news on that," said Klopp.
Alisson Becker has also spoken about his teammate, expressing massive sadness and disappointment.
"It really makes me sad. It's difficult to deal with that when you're on the pitch. All the players have a big role to do to support him. We need to do our best to do that," said the Brazilian goalkeeper.
"The medical staff have to work hard to give him the best conditions for his recovery."
Tomorrow on Wednesday night, Liverpool will host AC Milan at the Anfield in the Champions League group stage.
