Press conference: Jurgen Klopp on injuries, Shaqiri, Wolves and more

Liverpool extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday. Now Jurgen Klopp's side are preparing to face Wolves in the midweek Premier League game. The game is scheduled on January 23rd at 8:00 PM (UK time), Molineux stadium. Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp gave a press conference, where he spoke about injuries, Xherdan Shaqiri and more. On injuries: "Dejan trained now since Monday, first steps which is good. Milly and Naby not in team training, Shaq isn't. All soon back." On Shaqiri: "In the majority of December we had the bench full of kids, wonderful kids but kids. So how can we think of selling anybody? We have to keep them for sorting our situation, not situation of other clubs. No intention from our side to do anything." On Wolves: "I understood 100% it wasn't easy for Wolves to take (defeat at Anfield) but afterwards the decisions were right. No need to talk about VAR. Wolves are really difficult to play, similar system to other teams defensively. They make pitch really big.  They ask a lot of footwork, they run a lot. You can't play 50-60% basis against Wolves, absolutely no chance." On Fabinho return: "It’s the best news you can get that we have these boys back. We played the toughest period of the season with two centre-halves. We got through, thank god. Now we need to make sure they’re in the best condition and we do that with training sessions." On where Liverpool need to improve: "Concentration level. Five minutes before half-time and at the end, United came back and game should have been decided already. There is a lot of space for improvement. How can we help ourselves? We need to find a common way in situations to dominate the game in a slightly different manner." On Alisson: "As a goalkeeper, we knew what we’d get. He’s made steps but that is normal. As a person, he as exceeded expectations. He is an amazing guy. We have a lot of really good guys but he is a really special person. His character, how calm he is, helps us a lot. He makes the difficult things look easy. A fantastic boy, a fantastic goalkeeper and good to have him here." On Alisson celebration: "It was a great, he was the first there. It was so late in the game, the others thought it was too tough to sprint there but he had all the power. I didn’t actually see it during the game, I saw it later. Good." On Salah goal: "With the specific situation with Ali and Mo, Mo was at 18-yard box at corners and was probably first one to see he couldn't be offside and was already on his bike when Ali kicked it there. They know each other longer than we know them, they played together at Roma." On Ox frustration at being subbed: "He is in good shape. I've asked him, and he said it's all fine. It's normal a player wants to play 90 minutes, Ox is an important player for us at the moment. Ox got a knock and had a limp a bit and we had to make a decision." source - LiverpoolECHO
