Press Conference: Jose Mourinho on Harry Kane, Son, playing week and more

Tottenham will face their next rivals, Wolves, in the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. After the two defeats to RB Leipzig and Chelsea, the Spurs will return to struggle with Manchester United and Frank Lampard's side to secure their Champions League place for the next season. Now Jose Mourinho's side are sitting on the 6th place of the Premier League table just 1 point ahead of Wolves. Ahead of the fixture Mourinho has met reporters. Speaking on Harry Kane's fitness, the club boss said: "He’s a little bit ahead of schedule. Gives me a little bit of hope that instead of one or two matches he could be three, four or five. Speculating a little......He is feeling good." The Portuguese also talked about Son Heung-min's potential return, saying:"That’s a hope but we’re far from it. He’s coming back soon [to the UK] and we have to follow safety protocols. Then we’ll look at all the possibilities. I cannot imagine when but there’s a good chance that before the end of the season we have Harry and Sonny playing together." Asked whether Son could play with a cast on his arm down the line, Mourinho added: "That’s another hope but of course we’re far from it. He’s coming back to England very soon. Then of course he’ll have to follow some safety protocols because he flies from Seoul. When his recovery starts, we’ll try all the possibilities to have him back for some matches. I cannot imagine when. But there’s a good possibility that before the end of the season, we have Harry and Sonny playing together." When asked about Erik Lamela, the coach told reporters he's still not training with the group but should join in tomorrow with training with the other players and will make himself available again to play 20 minutes or so at the weekend. Speaking on the week ahead, Mourinho said: "Yeah, it’s a big week. Last week we felt very difficult because we had to play three matches in a row. Of course our squad in this moment is a squad with some difficulties, especially we are not in condition to make rotations and rest players and be stronger in some matches than others. In this moment we are what we are, we have 16/17 players who are always selected for matches. So it’s going to be hard. I can imagine when we reach the fourth match of this 10 days and the fourth match will be a knockout one, even with possible extra-time to be played, I think we are going to arrive there at our limits. Let’s not think about it though. Let’s think about Wolves. At the Wolves game we arrive in a good condition after a good week in which we manage to rest and to work really hard and now to be waiting for the game." Mourinho has also revealed he is clearly unimpressed with Dele Alli's FA charge, saying: "I forgot it, it was such a long time ago and after an obvious, clear and immediate public apology, I just forgot about it. Somehow, a couple of days ago, somebody made me remember it. But at this moment, I don’t want to make any comment." Speaking on Bergwin playing up front, the club manager said: "It is not his position. It is as simple as that. It’s the same thing as taking Davinson Sanchez and playing him at right-back, he can, he tried everything but he is not a right-back. The same if you play Vertonghen left-back. He’s a centre-back, can he play left-back? He can, he helps. That’s what Steven tried to do in the game against Chelsea and I think he didn’t do better because he was under huge fatigue from 90 minutes against Leipzig. If he could be fresh he could give us much more movement, he could be much more aggressive than he was. So he tries."
