Press Conference: Guardiola confirms Aguero's surgery, says who can replace him, speaks about Lampard

Manchester City travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Thursday. Ahead of the game, City boss Pep Guardiola has faced the press. The boss confirmed, that Sergio Aguero will have surgery tomorrow. "We don't know when he will come back and join us," Guardiola said. When asked about who can replace Aguero, Guardiola answered: "We’ll find out tomorrow after he’s seen the specialist how bad the injury to Sergio is, we will know more tomorrow.Our concern is not whether Gabriel is good enough, it’s playing every 3 days. Sterling, Gundogan & Bernardo can play there." Guardiola has been asked about Chelsea boss Frank Lampard: "He was an extraordinary football player and he will be an extraordinary manager. He did a really good season and I am delighted to watch his team. They are the elite of European football. They have incredible players in all departments." The City boss confirmed Claudio Bravo fit and discussions over his Manchester City future 'in the next days'. Guardiola also has given general injury update: "We have some kicks after the game [on Monday], which is normal. You have to see day by day how we can avoid injuries. We have to handle the situation, qualify mathematically for the UCL and that is what we have to do." Newcastle game will be the last one for Manchester City this season and Guardiola admitted they have one eye on the game. "Gabriel Jesus has played alongside Aguero - we have no doubts about him he is a great player on the pitch and in the locker roomWe can’t deny we have one eye on the Newcastle game, it is (like) a final for us ."
