Press Conference: Frank Lampard speaks about Kante, Liverpool, Manchester City and Norwich game

Chelsea set to face Norwich City in their third Premier League clash. The Blues are looking for their first win of the season, having been held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City last week after their loss on the opening weekend to Manchester United. Ahead of the game, Frank Lampard faced the media and provided a team news update: “Kante has got an injury, so we will assess that over 24 hours. Rudiger is not fit yet, hopefully, next week. Pedro missed open training only because he contributed a lot over three weeks. That was just a precaution.” Lampard is confident; Calum Hudson-Odoi is set to be back after the international break. “He is training, looking bright and sharp. But we want to protect him as he has had a long time out. Reece James as well,” he said. The Blues boss spoke about the importance of Norwich game:  “It’s as important as any of them. We want to win, of course, we must remain confident. We want to win the game but must be respectful of them. I know the dangers that they have. They have a very good team. A great act to follow in the Championship and I have been impressed to see them carry that on.” Lampard insisted they are worried about the win and they have plan B and C. On Liverpool and Manchester City the Blues boss added: “They were clearly ahead of everyone else last year. I think that has been the change has been the fact it is more competitive for the top four and top six. The rise of Wolves and the investment of others. Everyone has a tough job in this league. We all have our issues.”
