Press Conference: Frank Lampard speaks about Jose Mourinho and Tottenham clash

Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho will face each other as Tottenham play Chelsea in a Premier League London derby on Sunday. The Blues are seeking a sixth away win of the season on their first visit to Tottenham. A win over Chelsea would see Spurs leapfrog them into the Champions League qualification places. Ahead of the game, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has faced the press. Lampard provided an update on Ruben Loftus-Cheek. “Ruben is making good progress, but nowhere near completion. Apart from that we have a full selection,” said Lampard. Mental change in the players?
No, in a good way. We have a good spirit of lads. We are honest with each other. I see a group together and training hard.
Happened to you before?
I had it last year, every manager has it to a degree. There have been some positives and you can’t get caught up in the negatives. We are in fourth position. Of course we know we can do better, but we just want to keep moving forward.
January transfer window
I am not going to divulge too much now.
 Facing Mourinho
I am happy to go up against Jose, it was a big deal last year. I have a big respect for him. The big thing is Chelsea vs Spurs, it is what the rivalry means to my players.
Take anything from Jose?
Not (just) one thing. He is a good manager. I am not trying to be a clone of anything.
More comfortable away from home?
Possibly, that is something we need to address. We have had good results. It’s not always home or away, it is the type of game. You expect Tottenham to be a different animal.
Good moments playing Spurs in the past?
We had a lot of good moments and a couple of bad ones. They are not important on Sunday, what is important is on the pitch.
Tottenham vs Chelsea rivalry
They had a fantastic manager in Pochettino, that made them a big challenge for everyone in the Premier League. It is always a competitive fixture.
Toughest selection choice?
They are always hard. Everyone is fit, we have a competitive squad, players are trying to push to be in that side. The rules are the same, it is what you do day-in day-out to be in that team.
