Press Conference: Frank Lampard gives injury UPDATE on Christian Pulisic and speaks about Leicester game

Chelsea beat Leicester City 1-0 in the quarter-final of the FA Cup and qualified for the semi-final. The only goal of the game scored Ross Barkley. Following the game, Frank Lampard has faced the press. Asked about the changes at the break, Lampard said: "The 2nd half, there were glimpses of it [our good play] and I am delighted we came through. If we don't turn up to games like today, then no chance. We were lucky today. The players that came off are young lads and are going to be top players." Lampard made three changes during the break. On the matter, he said: "Yes, first half not what used to in terms of performance. We' lacked intensity. Could have made more or different subs for more urgency. It was a lethargic performance. We dragged out of it, to be fair." "Individuals have had nice impacts. If we didn't have extra subs I wouldn't have made three at half-time. It is to limit injury. We can look at fact we have had two big games in a week. The fact turned it around can give lads credit." Asked how disappointed the first half was, he answered: "We didn't play that badly for 45 minutes this season. We've played better and lost games. I'm positive hat's not the norm for us but it had to be addressed. Give the players a bit of leeway because of tight turnaround but wasn't happy with that. Fortunate not to be losing at half time." Lampard said, that he is not worried about the impact of young players. "Mason has given a lot of input in two games this week. Reece hasn't played in a long time, Billy the same. They are going to be top players for this club no matter what. A fact of how I saw the game. They all train well, have great work ethic. Just the circumstances today." Asked if he will talk them, Lampard answered: "Yes, possibly. Spoke to them all briefly. It happens in football. It's a tough games. No problem with them. Not an issue. The performance for whole team was lethargic, not individually. If a bit of a learning curve, fine. We'll move on, they'll be big players for us." Barkley has made impressive performance and Lampard hailed him. "He wants to be best player he can be. Before lockdown he was really good for us. His attitude has been spot on since minute we came back. He has made an impact in every game. A great example. He can score, shoot with both feet. Reaping benefits now. He's a big player for us." In the end, the boss gave an update on Christian Pulisic injury. "Felt tightness in his calf during second drinks break so took him off straight away. He'll see in next day. Andreas had a problem in his hip, didn't feel comfortable in training yesterday so was out of the squad." Source: Football.london
