Premier League record: Trent Alexander-Arnold sets new record in 5-0 win against Watford

Trent Alexander-Arnold became the youngest player in Premier League history to assist three goals in one game when Liverpool trashed Watford 5-0. The draw with Manchester United on Sunday saw Liverpool miss the chance to go three points clear at the top of the table, but the Reds came back with a confident display at home. Two goals each by Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, as well as another from Divock Origi, helped them to their biggest win of the season. Alexander-Arnold’s three assists, two for Mane and one from a free-kick for Van Dijk, means the right-back has set a new record in the league. The defender, 20, is the youngest player ever to lay on three goals in a single game for his team-mates. "All the crosses were outstanding,’ Klopp said. "So it’s just a special night. He scored a fantastic free-kick the last time against Watford. "I can’t remember the last time he got a hat-trick of assists. He got three right? We want to use our power and our skills but there are different games to play. Watford changed for us too. You always prepare for a match differently."
