Premier League make VAR decision that will affect Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham

The Premier League will introduce "thicker lines" for the VAR's offside decisions next season, according to The Times. The new lines are being brought to light to try and prevent highly controversial marginal calls. The thicker lines on the VAR will allow a slightly bigger margin of error to the tight offside calls. It's also said that the ambition is to give the attacking players the 'benefit of the doubt'. The Premier League are introducing the new 'thicker lines' system, which is already used in the Dutch top-flight, the Eredivisie. One major alteration will be that the television broadcasters will no longer get to see the lines being drawn onto the screen, they will just see the end result. This decision was made at the annual general meeting of the 20 Premier League clubs.
