Premier League club captain is considering a move to Saudi Arabia

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is considering a move to Saudi club Al Ettifaq according to David Ornstein.

As per The Mail, the Reds' man is going to make a decision about his future in the next 48 hours. The Middle Eastern side will quadruple Henderson's salary, as he will be paid 50% more than in England. A move to Al Ettifaq will mean a reunion with ex-Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard who is now the manager of the club.

The Dammam-based club have offered a two-year contract to the Reds' captain, with the option of a further year. The 33-year-old Liverpool veteran still has two years left on his contract at the Anfield Stadium. Henderson's family has reportedly made reservations about the prospect of moving to the Middle East.

Initially, there were signs that Henderson would be hesitant to depart from Liverpool at this particular point in his professional journey. He expressed concerns about jeopardizing his position in the England national team, especially with the Euro '24 tournament approaching at the end of the season.

As per the latest updates by Fabrizio Romano, Henderson will speak to Jurgen Klopp today as Steven Gerrard's side is pushing to progress the deal.
