Pogba, Tuanzebe: Manchester United injury latest and expected return dates

Manchester United are going to face their first Premier League opponents Crystal Palace this weekend. The club newly-comer Donny van de Beek is likely to make his senior debut for the Red Devils, while another midfielder Paul Pogba is doubtful to be fit for the season opener after he missed the club's pre-season friendly against Aston Villa. He was reported to return to training, however, continues to build his fitness after being tested positive for Coivd-19. "Paul’s had a couple of training sessions so he’s lost out on a few sessions because of the virus, of course," Solskjaer told MUTV last week. "But Paul is quick to get fit. "Of course, he worked really hard to get back after lockdown last time and played the majority of the games. Hopefully he’ll be ready for next weekend. I am not 100 per cent sure though." Axel Tuanzebe is officially ruled out of the upcoming match, while speaking about the player's fitness, Solskajer said last week: "Axel is getting closer. In a few weeks’ time, I guess he will be with us training full-time and hopefully we’ll be able to give him games quickly." Mason Greenwood should be fit to play against Palace, however, it is up to the club boss to include him in the first team squad. Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Eric Bailly only returned to United training on Monday, while they could face competition for their place in the squad for the upcoming match.
