Michael Owen has made a prediction on Community Shield between Arsenal and Liverpool.
The two Premier League sides will face each other on Saturday, just four weeks after the Gunners celebrated their FA Cup final win over Chelsea. Mikel Arteta's side have returned to training on Monday, while the newly-crowned champions, Liverpool, have already played a 2 - 2 draw with RB Salzburg.
And ahead of the clash, Owen has made his prediction, that will see the Reds winning the game with a 3-1 score.
"Their [Liverpool's] formidable record at home was the catalyst for winning the Premier League last season, with their last Premier League defeat at home coming in 2017," he said.
"However, their away form wasn’t too shabby either and every single player at the club will be champing at the bit to get going again and maintain their phenomenal form of the last two seasons.
"Despite all the talk of this being a glorified friendly, both teams will be very keen to start their season with a win and I really fancy an entertaining game with plenty of goals."
