Greg Minikin has joined Hull KR’s lengthy casualty list after picking up a knee injury in last week’s defeat to Wigan Warriors.
The winger played the full 80 minutes at the DW Stadium as Rovers went down 30-16 and lost four players to injury in the process.
However, that became five in the aftermath and Tony Smith faces an anxious wait to discover the severity of the issue.
Speaking to Hull Live, head coach Tony Smith said:
“Greg Minikin is on his way over to see a consultant as we speak with a bit of a knee aggravation that he copped in that game the other day.
“We’ll see what the surgeon says this evening.”
KR have suffered another major blow in recent days, as Matty Storton was told he does in fact need surgery on his injured ankle.
The young back-rower will go under the knife on Friday and is set to be sidelined for eight weeks, with prop Will Maher facing the same recovery period with a similar issue.
