Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ended the campaign by sharing the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 22 goals while helping Arsenal finish as Europa League runners-up. He played a key role in Unai Emery’s squad and now Arsenal board are planning to offer him an improved contract to ward off interest from other clubs. However, earlier there were reports linking the Gabon international to Manchester United as he could become a potential replacement for  Romelu Lukaku. The Gabon former Dortmund striker, however, wants to continue being an Arsenal star. “I’ve got someone on the inside, not at United by the way, someone on the inside who every so often would tell me transfer gossip,” Goldstein told listeners. “I would say he has a hit-ratio of about, quite high, 75-25. He’s told me quite a few that have happened. Not just at United but other clubs as well. “He has told me that United are interested in Aubameyang. He’s got two years left on his deal, he is 29 years old, he is the finished article. United did something similar with [Robin] van Persie, Romelu Lukaku isn’t doing it for Solskjaer, I’m led to believe. “[£70m] is what I’m being told. There’s a first offer. He’s only got two years left and in a year’s time he can go.” However, the Gabon international looks set to stay in north London, with his latest comments coming as a real boost to fans desperate for their club to keep hold of it’s prized asset. Aubameyang told Arsenal’s official website: “Next season… let’s go! “Of course the season didn’t end the way we wanted it to.  “Losing a final like that is tough for everyone, the players, our families and the fans. “We were all gutted in the dressing room after what happened in Baku and that’s when you need the people around you. “As always, my father had travelled to Baku with the rest of my family to watch me play. “Just continue the way you’re going,’ he said after the match. “You can do it better, you can get even better.’ “I’ve listened to my father’s advice throughout my whole career so if he tells me that I can get even better, then that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”
