Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang called "idiot" by teammate after disciplinary problems

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been once called an “idiot” by a Borussia Dortmund teammate due to his disciplinary issues before joining Arsenal. The 32-year-old has recently made a move to Barcelona after Arsenal terminated his contract through mutual agreement. Aubameyang was the Gunners’ star player during his first two-and-a-half seasons in north London, but his relationship with manager Mikel Arteta took a sour turn this season as a result of off-field disciplinary issues. During his time at former club Borussia Dortmund, where he was also captain, took a very similar turn which ultimately led to him joining Arsenal. Aubameyang’s alleged behaviour in Germany was slammed by former Dortmund teammate and goalkeeper Roman Burki. He told Sky after a 0-0 draw:
"The rules apply to every player regardless of how many goals he scores or prevents. The rules have to be followed and I think he knows that. [His suspension] was a logical decision.”
Asked if Aubameyang would be welcomed back with open arms going forward, Burki responded:
"Of course we would welcome him with open arms again. All this is not because of his performances in training. He always gives his best in training.   "We need him, that once again became evident today.   “It would be pitiful if he was to miss more games due to such idiotic behaviour."
