Phil Jones rejected Manchester United testimonial over fears

Phil Jones rejected the chance to have a testimonial at Manchester United. The 27-year-old is in his ninth season at Old Trafford as he arrived in 2011 from Blackburn. He was handed a four-year deal in February meaning he could request a testimonial, once his decade is up. However, the Athletic reports Jones rejected the opportunity once the proposal was made. Jones is claimed to have said, when asked about a testimonial, "Apart from my mum and dad, who else would turn up?” Source- The Mirror
