Peter Schmeichel aims brutal Champions League dig at Manchester City

Peter Schmeichel told CBS Sport that there are ‘some massive teams’ who are not in the last eight of the Champions League before aiming a brutal dig at Manchester City. Schmeichel couldn’t help but mention that every team in the quarter-finals has reached a final, apart from Manchester City. “We have got some massive teams who are not there,” said Schmeichel. “Barcelona’s not there, Juventus is not there and I hate to say it but Manchester United is not there. All of them up there, apart from one team, has been in a (Champions League) final.” Porto, who knocked out Juventus in one of the most dramatic games this season, won the competition under Jose Mourinho, and his former club, Chelsea, were also winners in 2012. In recent years, Dortmund have reached the final hurdle but fallen at the wrong time, whilst the likes of Bayern, Liverpool and Real Madrid are serial winners of this competition.
