Peruvian tennis player suspended after testing positive for Cannabis

ITF - the International Tennis Federation confirmed the suspension of Arklon Huertas del Pino. World No. 586 in the ATP world rankings, has voluntarily accepted a suspension period after violating one of the articles in the Tennis Anti-Doping Program. Huertas del Pino has tested positive for cannabis, the plant that gives rise to marijuana. The ITF announced it through a statement where it stated: “Arklon Huertas del Pino has accepted a provisional voluntary suspension, pending the determination of his position.” The Peruvian tennis player gave a urine sample on October 24 when he participated in the Lima Challenger, from October 21 to 27.
