Pep Guardiola speaks out on Liverpool being jealous of Manchester City

Liverpool became the Champions League winner for the 6th time in history, meanwhile Manchester City won the Premier League title. Guardiola’s side were the first team to win back-to-back league titles in over a decade and in an interview with Catalan outlet ara, the City boss was asked if he felt Liverpool were jelous of their domestic success. He replied: ‘Winning the Premier League is very hard, and I speak from experience. ‘This is the first time in eleven years that a team has won two consecutive league titles, which Barcelona has done many times [in La Liga]. ‘I am certain Liverpool are eager to win the Premier League. ‘Liverpool have not won the league for 30 years, and we all saw what a team Liverpool were this year.’ While Liverpool are planning a quiet summer, City are closing in on their first major signing of the summer. Rodri is expected to arrive in a £62.5million from Atletico Madrid, as the Spanish side confirmed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente.
