Despite Manchester City’s disappointing and unexpected exit from the Champions League after 1-2 defeat to Liverpool, the Citizens boss intends to commit his future with the club before the end of the season. The 47-year-old coach has one year left on his current contract and according to some rumors, he is close to sign a one-year extension on his current £15million-a-year deal.
Though City hold a commanding 13-point lead at the Premier League, Guardiola is set to start next season’s Champions League campaign in the stands after clashing with referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz at half-time in City’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at the Etihad on Tuesday.
