Pep Guardiola reveals his wish over Lionel Messi’s future amid Man City links

Pep Guardiola has urged Lionel Messi to stay at Barcelona amid speculation he could leave the Nou Camp and reunite with his old boss at Manchester City. “He's a Barcelona player, he will stay there, that is my wish,” Guardiola said.  "I’m not going to talk about players from another club. "I think he’s going to finish his career there, it’s my wish.” Messi is rumoured to be unsettled at Camp Nou. The Barca Captain criticized Sporting director Eric Abidal after he suggested that some members of the first-team squad were not working hard under former coach Ernesto Valverde.
