Pep Guardiola responds to Manchester City's interest in Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland has been quite a sensation for world football in the last two years. The 20-year-old striker has scored 31 goals in his 30 games for Borussia Dortmund this season and therefore, has attracted plenty of interest from big-name clubs, including Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus. And on Friday, City have been drawn to play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarter-finals. Cityzens head coach Pep Guardiola was asked about the young sensation in his pre-match press conference, to which he replied: "The numbers speak for itself. One of the best strikers in the world at his age. I saw a few games, the highlights, the numbers are impressive. I know the quality of this player, everybody knows. In two weeks I could answer better because I didn't see much. Dortmund have experience, Witsel, Gueirro, Sancho, Reya, they invest in good young players with wages and salaries for agents. "They have a lot of quality. They beat Sevilla who are in one of the best knockout teams. Dortmund is tough, could have been the others, all of them, just to discover how they are as a team and try to do a good first game. After a second one, if we do good games we deserve to go through. No more secret than that. Leeds are not the best team to face between the two legs, we now have two weeks to analyse and see a few games, how they are." And when asked whether City are interested in signing Haaland, Guardiola said: "He's a player from Dortmund. I don't like when people talk about our players. You understand I cannot answer this question." Source- Manchester Evening News Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
