Pep Guardiola resists criticism made of Mikel Arteta ahead of the Arsenal clash

Pep Guardiola has defended his former assistant Mikel Arteta. At his pre-match press conference, Guardiola has talked about Arteta and Arsenal in general. The Catalan manager said (Football Daily), the Gunners' head coach shouldn't be judged so early into the season.

"2 games, it's not been 20 fixtures. Why don't you give a little bit more time to the teams to build what they want to build. You need time."

Manchester City boss has also spoken about Arteta's side being a tough opponent in today's clash.

"It's Arsenal, it remains one of the biggest clubs in England."
