Manchester City celebrated a 5-0 victory over Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday. City currently top the league table with three points clear ahead of second-placed Liverpool.

Raheem Sterling formed a double, meanwhile, Aymeric Laporte, Rodri and Phil Foden also got their names on the scoresheet.

At half-time, Ruben Dias was replaced by Fernandinho due to an injury.

Following the game, Guardiola provided an update on the defender.

“Muscular problems, we see what happens. We have 13 players and a half, Nathan isn’t in a perfect condition. We have no central defenders. If Phil Foden has to play central defender, he will play CB,” Guardiola told Sky Sports via Joe Bray.
