Pep Guardiola provides injury update on De Bryune

Manchester City get their Premier League campaign back underway with the visit of Burnley on Saturday. City are level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool at the top of the table but lead on goal difference. The Blues have lost just one of their last 19 against the Clarets, in a run that stretches back to 1975. Ahead of the game Pep Guardiola has faced the press. De Bruyne injury update I don’t know if De Bruyne can play 90 minutes but he can play against Burnley. Hart return I think Joe is undoubtedly important to the club. Tomorrow we will see how appreciated he is by our fans. Henry at Monaco I wish him all the best. He was my player at Barcelona, the nice guys deserve it. I want the best for him. It is a huge experience for him after starting as a player at Monaco. He is going to do well. Right now Monaco is not in a good position but I think he is going to do well. He is a young manager and sooner or later we are going to find each other. Sancho debut English teams look at Spanish players and Spanish teams look at Italian players. You cannot control them at that age and you cannot control them. We know what we have done with Jadon. We did absolutely everything, he decided to move to Germany. All the best. He is doing really well at the start of his career, hopefully, he can achieve what he is looking for and it is a good sign for England. I’m glad he’s playing well. Could Sancho come back? Guardiola says you never know in football, but the fact that he decided he didn’t want to be in City suggests that he didn’t want to be in the club! Injury updates Ilkay Gundogan is out and could be out for anywhere between one and three weeks (Guardiola not known for his detail) but says Fabian Delph is back in contention as well as De Bruyne Burnley I think it always helps to play in Europe. It is more demanding physically and mentally with just three or four days to recover but if you want to take the next step as a club it is good.
