Pep Guardiola confirms three players to be out of Sheffield United clash

Manchester City boss Pep Gaurdiola has given an injury update on three players ahead of the club's Premier League clash against Sheffield United on Tuesday night. The Blues will be hoping to celebrate their next win after the 2 - 2 draw with Crystal Palace. The champions are sitting on the 2nd place of the Premier League table, having a 16-point gap with the leaders Liverpool. City have their long-term absent Aymeric Laporte returned to training session. Guardiola has revealed the centre-back is making progress every day. However, he still doesn't know when the player will be fully recovered to return to the game. John Stones and Benjamin Mendy are also likely to miss the upcoming match. Stones is out of the game due to his leg injury while Mendy is suffering from fatigue having made just 3 appearances for the first time since October. Speaking on the players' fitness, Guardiola told media per the Manchester Evening News: "John had a problem in the leg with his last action, Mendy has a bit of muscular fatigue from the last game."
