Pep Guardiola confirmed how long Aymeric Laporte is out for

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola’s confirmed Aymeric Laporte is set for a month on the sidelines. Laporte limped off the pitch in the 33rd minute against Real Madrid on Wednesday night. Guardiola was forced into replacing Laporte with Fernandinho during the Champions League tie. While City still managed to win the game 2-1, giving them a healthy advantage ahead of the reverse fixture, fears remained over the extent of Laporte’s injury. Ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Aston Villa, Guardiola provided an update. “It’s a hamstring injury. Normally it is three weeks or a month. We try to avoid it but it has happened. Sometimes, it happens,” said Guardiola. “I imagine it’s tough and you have to work hard. Life is not easy and always in the world the people who survive are the ones who cope with the bad moments. It is what it is. Accept it, work hard to come back as soon as possible.”  Source: MEN Join us on Telegram!
