Pep Guardiola challenges Kyle Walker to respond to England snub

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has challenged Kyle Walker to response the latest spurns towards him as he believes the right-back can have a huge effort in City’s game. After Juventus player Joao Cancelo’s arrival to City, the English professional is in danger of losing his place in the right-back position. Yet, though he started a strong campaign for the England squad ahead of the Euro 2020, the national team manager Gareth Southgate decided to leave him out of the last two games, considering he needs strong club performances to return. Commenting on the matter, Guardiola said: "It’s a big challenge for Kyle to show the England manager how good he is. Our life in sports is about the challenge, about duels, targets, and he has one in front of him in every single game to show how good he is to come back into the team. He came as an incredible outstanding player and still is an outstanding player. Physicality, strong, fast, and we try to help him to be better since we were together.”
