Pedro Chirivella sends Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool message after making exit

Pedro Chirivella has expressed his appreciation to Liverpool and "the most astounding fans on Earth" after departing Anfield. Chriviella is set to join Nantes on a free transfer next month after turning down a five-year contract extension with the Reds. The 23-year-old spent seven years at Liverpool and has made 11 senior appearances. Jurgen Klopp is among several Anfield figures Chirivella has singled out for praise as he prepares to make official his exit. "Seven years ago I arrive in Liverpool being just a kid," said the Spanish midfielder. "I've been more than half a decade learning from the best, taking in values and morals that will always be rife in my day to day. "There comes a time to say goodbye, and I have no other feelings but gratefulness and a sense of honour to have been able to belong to such a special club. Without a doubt, I feel privileged to have had the opportunity of living unexplainable matters such as playing in the world's best stadium or feeling all the support from the most astounding fans on Earth. "I'm also very grateful to each of the huge professionals I have encountered throughout my period at LFC and who have helped me become a better version of myself, especially Neil Critchley and Alex Inglethorpe from the Academy and Pep Lijnders, Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers from Melwood, who have me the opportunity to debut in such a club like LFC. Thank you deeply and wish you all the best." Source: LiverpoolECHO
