Paul Scholes has claimed Nuno Espirito Sant's appointment as new Tottenham manager was "strange".
After Jose Mourinho's sacking and a long-term search, the North London club finally secured a move for ex-Wolves boss.
“Going back to the manager, I felt it was a strange appointment,” Scholes told
Premier League Productions.
“From watching Wolves during the past couple of years. If you think about Spurs, you think about entertainment all the time, don’t you?
“Pleasing the crowd. But he isn’t that type of manager, one bit. As you said, he’s very much like Jose. Very rigid. Trying to win games by getting one chance. Concede possession a lot.
“Watching Wolves the last couple of years has been very boring – we have to see how he does.”
