Paul Pogba argued with Lukaku during Wolves defeat and made his lowest passing accuracy

The world collapsed around Paul Pogba, who struggled as Manchester United lost the chance to be on the top four with a 2-1 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday night. Pogba was anonymous in the game, with the midfielder doing little to justify Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s praise in him ahead of the game. According to The National, Pogba even argued with Romelu Lukaku. The duo were unable to get onto the same wavelength and their lack of communication cost United. The World Cup winner completed just 69% of his passes against Wolves. That was his lowest passing accuracy in a Premier League game this season. Manchester United are now in the fifth place of the Premier League table with 61 points. The same amount of points have also Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Spurs and Arsenal, have a game to play. Despite his poor performance, Solskjaer defended him. “Well, today he could have easily had an assist when the great play with him and Rom [Lukaku] so that’s just figures and numbers,” the Norwegian explained at his post-match press conference. “Paul’s working as hard as any of the players in the team. Some days it just doesn’t come off.” Next up, United face Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and Pogba will be available having served his one-match ban for getting sent off against PSG.
