Patrice Evra names Tottenham star who is more important than Son and Kane in title race

Former Manchester United man Patrice Evra thinks that Moussa Sissoko is vital for Tottenham's Premier League title chances this season. Currently, Spurs are leading the league table with 25 points and Sissoko has been a crucial part of the early-season success. He has made 17 appearances during this season so far. The Spurs duo Heung-min Son and Harry Kane have also been helping the team as they both are currently having an impressive season with Son having scored 10 goals in 12 Premier League appearances and provided 4 assists, while Kane has scored 9 goals in 12 games and provided 10 assists. But Evra says having a strong midfield is the basis of a successful Mourinho team and believes that Sissoko is the perfect player for that role. "Mourinho teams are very difficult to beat and he has a strong midfield," Evra said on Sky Sports. "I would like to talk about Sissoko because we don't give enough credit to a player like him. "Such a generous player, he can cover Serge Aurier, really generous, strong, so I think that's where they're winning the games, in the midfield. "They're so compact and also they're putting Eric Dier at centre-back. So it's a strong, strong contender for the title." The pundit added: "[Aurier's] a nice lad, he's a sweet lad, and he has a strong character. "I've talked with him personally and I think Mourinho a few times dropped him out of the squad and he wasn't happy. "He's shown why he has to start every game for Tottenham. "The right side, we talk a lot about Serge Aurier being not a good defender but this is not my opinion, I think he is a great right-back. "But Moussa Sissoko is a really generous player." source - Express / Join us on Telegram
