'Outstanding': Steven Gerrard hails Rangers trio

Rangers head coach Steven Gerrard thinks that the midfield trio of Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Steven Davis have been “outstanding” for the Light Blues recently – and thinks it is the “strongest part of his squad” just now. Jack and Davis have won all the plaudits but Kamara has also impressed in the background as the Rangers have really put pressure on Celtic. The 39-years old manager also admits that there are midfielders in his squad who “probably don’t deserve” not to be playing but can’t force their way past the incumbents given their form. “The midfield three of late have been outstanding and they compliment each other well,” Gerrard told the Evening Times.
