Newcastle United and England legend Alan Shearer named his team of the week after last weekend’s round of Premier League games. The team was dominated by four Aston Villa players after their fourth straight win the league this season. Tottenham could have had a few of their own in the XI, but their capitulation in the last 15 minutes meant there was only room for one. Shearer picked Harry Kane to lead his line after the Spurs man scored twice and picked up an assist against the Hammers in the first half. Shearer told the Premier League’s official website: “An outrageous all-round performance which had everything. He scored two fantastic goals, produced a glorious pass for Son Heung-min’s strike and made a great last-ditch block in his own box.”
