Olympiacos coach Pedro Martins gives a review for Kostas Tsimikas
Olympiacos head coach Pedro Martins is confident Kostas Tsimikas will succeed at Liverpool. Merseyside club have completed the transfer of the 24-year-old Greece international and paid £11.75 mln for the player, who is supposed to substitute Andrew Robertson as a left back so that the latter can get some rest during the season.
“A fantastic professional and a fantastic person. Trust me; he is someone who is just perfect for the game of Jurgen Klopp.” Martins said during an interview with Goal.
“He deserves this opportunity. He improved so much, and now he will be playing in the best championship in the world, and for one of the best teams in the world.
“I’m not happy that I have lost such a good player, but I am happy for Kostas. I spoke with him after he signed his contract, and he was so happy. This is one of his dreams.” he added.
Liverpool keep on preparing for the new season. Tsimikas already joined the Reds and is in Austria.
