Olivier Giroud admits Chelsea fury with their performances against Spurs

Chelsea star Olivier Giroud admits the Chelsea players are angry with themselves for the manner in which they lost their unbeaten record this season. He said: "It's a normal feeling to feel angry about what we've done on the pitch. We cannot be satisfied with that kind of performance. "Collectively, obviously we're not happy to lose that kind of game, especially because they are direct opponents for the title. So, yes, when you lose you are not happy, not proud of your performance. "The manager was not happy at all with our performance. We just want to stay conscious of the situation, even if it was our first defeat of the season. "It has been hard to accept it. We want to bounce back as soon as possible, tomorrow in the Europa League and against Fulham on Sunday." Sarri suggested that one of the players claimed that the international break was a factor in Chelsea's underwhelming display. "I didn't hear about this, but it's always difficult to play a strong team like Tottenham after an international break. You always struggle everywhere. It's tiring, to be honest,” said Giroud. "But we are professionals. I've been in the national team for a while and I'm happy to play for my country, so I don't want to find excuses.  We know they are the hardest games after the international breaks, but we don't want to hide behind this thing. We just need to be responsible. We have already worked on what went wrong in the game, and we want to make it better, right, and improve for the next game.” Tottenham outplayed Chelsea 3-1 to inflict the Blues' first Premier League defeat of the season and move above their opponents in the table. Chelsea have already qualified for the last 32 of the competition, but one point in their last two matches will secure the top spot of Group L. Chelsea will play against PAOK on Thursday.
