Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to give United wonderkid first-team debut in Europa League

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to give youngster Teden Mengi debut in Europa League last-16 tie against LASK this week. The Red Devils are 5-0 up in the tie after the first leg. Solskjaer will now make the changes ahead of the second leg in a bid to rest senior stars. According to Metro, Mengi is set to make his first appearance a few weeks after being promoted to first-team training. The 18-year-old has moved up to Solskjaer’s senior squad since the restart to help cover injuries and reportedly impressed. With Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe sidelined, Solskjaer’s only other fit centre-backs are Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly. Pictures of the Red Devils training ahead of the LASK game appeared to show he could be in line for a bigger role as he was handed a new squad number.
