Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals why Paul Pogba was benched against Newcastle

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed why Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was benched against Newcastle. The Red Devils celebrated a 4-1 victory over Newcastle on Saturday. Paul Pogba started the game from the bench and came on in the 69th minute as he replaced Fred. During this season Pogba has made overall 5 appearances in which he has scored one goal. "Well I think that it’s every single player here that needs to perform but Paul has had some hip and back problems when he was away with France, so he wasn’t right to start him today," said Solskjaer. "We have many big games coming up and everyone has to perform when they come on because now we have competition for places. "Delighted with everyone today and Paul put on a good performance when he came on." source - Metro Join us on Telegram
