Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides David de Gea and Paul Pogba injury updates ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United have suffered huge injury blow as David de Gea and Paul Pogba ruled out of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool. Pogba has missed five of United’s last seven games with an ankle injury and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed he is out. De Gea suffered a groin injury on Tuesday while on international duty with Spain. Solskjaer said: “David needs a scan. I think he'll be out. It certainly looked like it anyway, judging on last night, so it's just one of those things. Paul had an injury, he came back, he worked really hard. He came back and played a couple of games, maybe played through the pain barrier. He had a scan after the Arsenal game and maybe needed a few weeks' rests in a boot, so hopefully, he won't be too long, but he won't make this game, no." Solskjaer is under increasing pressure, with United down in 12th place, already 15 points behind Liverpool and just two points off the relegation zone, after their worst start to a league season for 30 years.
