Novak Djokovic picks out two stars after Monte Carlo Masters

Novak Djokovic has praised Fabio Fognini and Dusan Lajovic after the Monte Carlo Masters final. Fogini, 31, became the first Italian to win an ATP Masters 1000 title at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters after beating Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 6-4 in the championship match. Lajovic, 28, knocked out Djokovic’s victor Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals before losing to Fognini. “Amazing week for both of these guys,” Novak Djokovic wrote. “Congratulations to Lajovic for making his first 1000 final and playing some of his best tennis ever. He absolutely deserves this success. One of the nicest guys I know. Fognini, bravo amico. Fantastico. Molto contento per te [well done friend, fantastic, very happy for you].”
