Pablo Mari feels absolutely ‘grateful’ for the chance to join Udinese on a loan spell from Arsenal.
Mari was sent to the Serie A club for the rest of the 2021/22 season without an option to buy.
Speaking on Sky Italia, the 28-year-old has thanked boss Gabriele Cioffi for offering him such an opportunity.
“I thank Udinese for this great opportunity, it will be a pleasure,” the Spaniard said.
“Serie A is among the most important leagues in the world, I hope to have a great impact and it will be very important for my career.
“That’s why I had no doubts about accepting this offer.
“When I went to Flamengo, many told me it was not among the best options for me.
“But when they tell you not to, the challenge becomes even more fascinating.
“I have always appreciated Udinese’s work, it has been doing well in Italy for many years.”
Mari has only made 3 appearances in all competitions this season, including 2 Premier League games.
