Neymar and Barcelona closer to settling their dispute over loyalty payments

Neymar and Barcelona came closer to out-of-court agreement on their dispute over loyalty payments as the 27-year-old wasn’t present at court on Friday. The Brazilian international is suing Barcelona over an unpaid loyalty bonus of €26m. Meanwhile, the club seeks damages after he’s left for Paris Saint-Germain and requires compensation of €8.5m as part of loyalty bonus they paid him in November 2016. And it’s because Neymar moved to Paris under a year after signing a contract till 2021. Reportedly PSG forward didn’t attend as two sides want to fix the issue outside the court. Neymar scored 105 goals for Barcelona, became La Liga champion twice, won Copa del Rey three times and Champions League once in 2016.
