Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Chivas forward Alexis Vega, according to ESPN.
The Premier League side have entered the race with La Liga giants Real Madrid and Eredivisie side PSV.
Vega recently been called by Gerardo Martino to be part of Mexico's 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar and featured in their opening goalless draw against Poland.
The 25-year-old's father, Ernesto Vega, told to several outlets that his son is currently in negotiations with European clubs for a potential January move.
“He needs to leave the Mexican league, he is ready to compete in any league," said Ernesto quoted by Sports Witness.
"There are already talks with teams, they do not specify, they have not yet materialized, but hopefully first [he] will have the opportunity to fulfill that dream of going to Europe".
However, it's been reported that Eindhoven are leading the race to get the player's signature in winter as the club have an agreement in place with Chivas. This means if Julen Lopetegui's side are keen to complete the Mexico international's transfer they will need to find a way to get ahead of PSV.
