Newcastle United are currently close to signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to Telegraph.
The deal is believed to be worth around £50 million.
Barella has been a key player for Inter during the season as they reached the Champions League final and suffered a defeat to Manchester City.
As per Telegraph Sport, the Magpies are currently interested in signing two midfielders with James Maddison being their main target.
Barella would become Newcastle’s highest earner if he signs for the club this summer.
The Magpies finished 4th in Premier League in the 2022/23 and will participate in the 2023/24 Champions League.
