New Arsenal chief vows to bring the glory days back to the Emirates

Arsenal's new managing director Vinai Venkatesham is confident he can bring back the glory days to the club. Marketing expert Venkatesham, who is part of the shake-up following Ivan Gazidis’ announcement that he is leaving his role as chief executive, said they are intent on “bringing pride back to the fan base.” Gazidis, whose job is effectively being shared by Venkatesham and Raul Sanllehi has been promoted to Arsenal’s head of football, said: “I’m immensely proud of the last ten years.“But I leave the club in good hands. Vinai is the smartest guy I have come across in football and they are both very good, they have low egos and both will take the club forward.”
