Nemanja Vidic lined up for return to Manchester United

Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic could return to the club as coach of the under-23s side according to a claim from his homeland of Serbia. Reports of the United role initially came from Serbian journalist Nebojsa Markovic, who tweeted that Vidic's close friend and best man Nenad Lalatovic had told him about the offer. Lalatovic said: "Vidic lives in Milan and he is currently considering coaching, he is not yet sure. He was already offered to run Manchester United B. I told him, "this is an ideal opportunity if you want to do it - to go back to England, you'll take over tomorrow and Manchester, you have a great name there and I think that's the right decision for you. But he has not decided yet. I'm supporting him being coach at Manchester United, as then there is a chance for him to take over the first team in the future." Vidic, who spent a trophy-laden nine years at Old Trafford. Retired from football in January 2016. United’s second side have been without a manager since May after Ricky Sbragia left the club.
